Where are the Virginia Competions.

Not much in BBQ comps going on in the state of Virgina. Bertjo44 and I would like to attend some comps does anyone know of any close to SW Virginia.

Yeah and good ones. They all seem to be at least 10 hours away. Anyone ever been to the big pig jig in Georgia. I was planning on going in 2005 but we ended up moving back to Virginia before it happened. Would still like to go I saw it featured on the Food Network.

There is a KCBS comp in Danville in May.
Also a KCBS comp. in Chesapeake in May.
Thats all I remember seeing.. go to the KCBS site and look under events tab.

Hey Busted, only 2 in the state of Virginia alll year and one is 4 hours away. I did find some possabilites. Thank for the site info

I saw those but couldn't find much on them, which makes me think they are small but might be our best bet. Might just have to bite the bullet and drive a ways.
