What's Up with the Price of Mayo?

I know there was an egg shortage a while back, but mayo is getting ridiculous.

This was recently at a discount grocery store called "Grocery Outlet".

And this was just a little 20 oz. squeeze bottle.

we ONLY use Dukes. its worse. typically $7-8 jar. we stock when Bogo. prices at publix.

We had a Grocery Outlet nearby,didn't even make a year before shutting down due to there so called "discount" prices.The discount price is the same price as everywhere else,they just show the "elsewhere" price to mislead folks.

Yeah, I can find a bargain there sometimes, but often prices are the same or more than a regular store. But mayo has been high in those, too.

That's cheaper then up here and seems to be in line with Amazon. There is actually an increasingly larger list of food items I'm ordering from Amazon these days as they are quite a bit cheaper there then at my local Fred Meyers or Walmart (which isn't any cheaper then Fred's). I know things are generally much more expensive up here but it's only been recently that it's worth ordering stuff, they got to be loosing money with Amazon Prime shipping up here.

Think the last Kraft mayo I bought was $5.69 on sale. Duke's is usually more expensive... just finally became available here roughly 6 months ago.

Wow....that is way high. It's well above what it used to be here, but not like that. I'll look tomorrow when I go shopping.

I've given up even on Dukes. Pricing is insane. I'm now using a Savealot brand called Kurtz @ $3.99 and it's every bit as good as Dukes. Trust me, I don't say that lightly.

Duke's runs about $5 for the quart jar on a good sale down here in GA. Like fxsales1959 mentioned, BOGO at publix is load up time.

It's been closer to $6.50 here and that just ridiculous. Trust me I really love Dukes but the Kurtz is very good.

Luckily I tried Duke's and really did not like it. Aldi store brand is good for me on the rare occasion I use mayo for anything.

All prices are higher than 4 years ago. I haven't seen Nationwide inflation this bad since 1977-1982.
Don't purchase Hellmann's (Best Foods over the hump) after I got her to try Duke's. Rarely goes on sale up north same as Tillamook cheese.
Love the BOGO sales at Publix

Wife just paid $6.98 for a 48oz of Dukes at our local Wal-Marts.

It was either Dukes mayo or flossers for my teefs.
