What's the fuss with ANMPS?

  1. I just started smoking with my new 5 x 8 ANMPS and this is generating a lot of smoke. I just did what the man (Todd) said to me in our email exchange.

I recently purchased the 5 x 8 and it already was filled with pellets, I assume oak. After taking off the shrink wrap I brought the unit to my gas grill and laid it on top of the grilling grates. I lit my blow torch that I had just purchased at Lowes and fired up one end of the ANMPS. I had a flame immediately and then the flame went out because of the wind. Fired it up again, closed my gas cover and went into the house and set the time for 10 minutes. After 10 minutes, I went outside and smoke is pouring out of my gas grill. I lifted the lid and opened my MES 30 inch smoker and placed the 5 x 8 on the lower rails to the left of the chip box in the smoker, opened the chip box 1 1/2 to 2 inches, opened the chip replenishment tube 2 to 2 1/2 inches, closed the door, and started the MES. While it was coming to temperature (225), smoke is being delivered. I placed my chicken in their and closed the door. I check every so often and the smoke is nice and steady and consistent. I like it. I have to run an errand and now I do not have to worry about replenishing the chips.

This really works good. I would suggest that should you have any questions, contact Todd and he help you find a working solution.

    With kind regards,

Good advice Ed.  A lot of guys have airflow issues that are just hard to diagnose but I agree that connecting with Todd is the best way to solve any of those problems quickly!
