What TV Streamer do you use???

I have my own media server of shows and movies I bought that I run through the PC in the computer room to the TV in the living room. I use Emby Server.

We do the same, started going this general route almost 20 years ago. Not as many options then.

I'm guessing a lot of folks don't know about Samsung TV plus, what is it, 1 or 2 thousand channels.

We also are Prime members for the shipping benefits and Prime TV is a bonus. Folks should not look past the good o'le antenna either. We get an additional 95 HD channels with that. Not like the old days, all of them are as clear and sharp (or more) as cable or satellite. We even get 15 or 20 channels at our remote cabin.

Roku Premier 4k Happy with them.

I have two Roku Ultras and have never had a problem with them. I dropped DirecTv after 20+ years because the prices just got ridiculous. Three years now and I have adapted to the change in viewing habits and so far I do not miss modern TV shows.

The one thing I do pay for is NHL. It works fine with the Roku boxes.

Most of my time spent on viewing is on a large tablet watching YouTube.

We pay for NFL+ to get every game, every week on the Roku NFL client. Not live, but prerecorded on-demand is fine for us in Hawaii. We watch every game every week...yes, that's true!...because they offer a condensed version that skips everything but the snap to whistle action. We can watch an entire geme in 35-45 minutes. NFL+ is about $100/year.

I have only used Roku Devices on my dumb TVs.

They do the job easily.

Just moved my old Sony to my garage bar and put a new Roku Stick on it last night.
