What is the best blender or device to mix rub in?

When we did our batch of Jeff's rub we did it by hand. Wife has a Blendtech blender. Can't help but wonder if it will remove all of the lumps from the brown sugar?

Substitute raw sugar, AKA turbinado sugar or Demerara sugar, it has the same molasses content as BS without the tendency to clump. It also has the advantage of having a higher burn temp than BS.

I use a flour sifter and microwave the brown sugar for a bit. It helps if you store it in the freezer to keep it from clumping. I do need to get me some raw sugar one of these days. very limited selection at my local market.
