Seriously how great is this time of year??? Picking tomatoes out of your garden and using locally raised hogs for bacon and making BLTs! Sitting outside as it cools down knowing hunting season is just around the corner....

Couldn't agree more. Just spent the morning squirrel hunting. Was in the woods at 6 AM. Got to "my spot", hunkered in and waited for official sunrise. Right on cue, the squirrels came out to start feeding. There was a dense fog all through the hardwoods and it was hard to see those little rascals up in the tree tops. But I waited quietly and sure enough they came down to start feeding on the ground. That's when I lit them up with my Gammo Urban. Got my limit before they even knew what hit them. I just sat there and picked off the ones that wandered away from the crowd. 

I'll smoke a couple for me and do a stew for the wife (and me too!).

As a side, if anyone is thinking about air gun hunting small game, I can recommend the Gamo Urban PCP as your first rifle. It's a tremendous value at $400. I have 6 air guns of all varieties and this PCP is awesome to hunt with. Matched with a good scope it's a killer in the woods and for pest control around the homestead. I have a leased nitrogen tank I fill from.
