After posting and reading in the pellet section on recommendations on a smoker for set-it-and-forget-it kinda setups I see that a few of you recommended the Weber with the Guru controller.
Now....questions...:
With this setup, how long does your charcoal last before it burns out?
How do you like to add smoke? A pan with wet wood chips above the coals?
Got any pictures of your set-up?

Any other recommendations, warnings, advice?

There are some u-tube videos that show how to load the wood chunks & coal

A friend has this setup and regularly makes pulled pork bbq from a Boston butt. He sets it up in the evening, adds a 20 lb bag of charcoal and a few chunks of hardwood, lights it and goes to bed. Late the next morning, he has a perfectly cooked butt meal ready for resting. The meat is still hot at noon lunchtime.
