Way off topic but I found a new garden hose to replace my expandable versions.

I have an older expandable garden hose that I detest.
It's 75' when expanded but it limits the water pressure and volume more than I can abide.
In addition, it ties itself in knots unless I minister to it's needs when it self evacuates.
Ran across this on wally and they made claims that sparked my interest SO I bought two.
I'm in love, they are lightweight, non tangle (for real this time) and the water pressure and volume are the same as an old fashioned round rubber/plastic hose.
If it's hard to see, the hose body when not inflated is flat.
You're welcome.
Oh, $40 for two 50 footers.

IDK if its way off topic, it might be a stretch, but I keep a hose hooked up and handy when I'm running the stickburner. Just never know.

Gratitude sir, your eurdite observation is most humbly appreciated.
I'm more of an adventurist than you perhaps, to me the risk/reward could not be ignored.

I totally get it,like I said I tried them all and in the end I got what I paid for but I couldn't help myself because I needed to know.

Good to know. I'll look at those when I need to replace my expandables. I dont have much issue with the expandibles. They arent getting tangled like you describe and I'm not noticing a severe drop in volume or pressure, but we are on a well, our pressure isn't quite as high as city folk on standpipes.

I replaced two of mine this year . 100 ' true value hardware lifetime guarantee . Bought them when I bought my first house at 25 years old . Just turned 64 last month . No , I didn't take them back .
Got a couple middle of the road at $75.00 each at Lowes . I hate a cheap hose .

I got a Giraffe auto-retractable hose on a reel about 1.5 years ago, liked it so much I got a couple more. The retract mechanism is so strong, it reels itself back in when done with the user carefully walking with it. I say carefully because if it accidentally gets away from you it will retract with crazy speed, damaging the mechanism. I did have a warranty issue with my oldest, and they replaced it, hassle free. That model was a crazy 155 feet long. They come in a variety of sizes and sure make hose-keeping neat and tidy.

What cpaysonc cpaysonc said.

They cost more but auto retracting hoses are the way to go. Just make sure to get 5/8" and not 1/2". the 1/2" just didn't have the pressure as the 5/8". It is good enough for watering plants but not enough to wash a car. They also look much nicer than a coiled up hose. They are both very stiff hoses that will not kink.

I have two 5/8" x 100' and two 1/2" x 100'.
