Warming cabinet

Building a smoker for a guy and have never made one with a warming cabinet. The cabinet in on top the fb it is 24 wide 15 deep and 36 tall and my question is do you put a vent or 2 on the cabinet to control the temperature? Seem like a good idea but figured I would ask those with experience

I would, here is a picture of mine, the vent is a little larger than it needs to be, but it is still very manageable.....SB
