Okay this is a virtual tour around a local village church.
I know one of the guys involved in 'unusual' money raising schemes for the church and he sent this to me this morning.
They have a teddy bear day with rides for kids teddys. One of the rides is a trebuchet (siege catapult) :-) The teddy is stuffed into a large pop bottle which is hooked to the end of the treb and then fired into a net. They had to remove the sling from the treb as it was overshooting the net and landing in the road every time lol (it was throwing from the tall tree on the right at the front of the church to just past the small green tree on the far left. beyond that bank is the main road through the village)
The church was 275 years old this year. They also made a bunch of full size wooden wheelbarrows from reclaimed wood. 1 for each year, but they ended up making 325 and had to stop as the gang involved were threatened with mass divorce if they didn't.
The above explains why there is a wheelbarrow up by the altar and a teddy bear in a vicars robes by the front door :-)
Anyway thought some of you might be interested in a really good look at a genuine english country church.
This is in barton under needwood - about 15 minutes drive from me.
This is one of the best virtual tours I've seen.
double click the picture to make it full screen and hold your left mouse button down and move the mouse to look around.
Enjoy :-)
