Vietnam Commemorative Knife. (By Gerber)

Somebody posted a Gerber Knife a couple weeks ago, which reminded me of this Little Guy.

Bear Junior got me this a few Father’s Days ago, and I Cherish it.

Much like the Beautiful Cutting Board he made for me, I will never actually use this either.

It was made by “Gerber”, and some of the Money goes to the “Paralyzed Veterans of America”.

The one side has a picture of the Vietnam War Memorial “The Wall”, with more than 58,000 names of my Brothers on it.
It’s pretty shiny, because every time I get it out to show it to somebody, I always wipe it with a soft cloth before I put it back.

Thanks for Looking,
Here’s some pics, below,

Bear

The nice Soft Case it stores in:

Nice knife . That's one I haven't seen before . I'd keep it stored away too .

Very nice. I know knives are made to be used, but would have a hard time using that one also.

Thank You Rider!!
Yeah, I could never use that knife, but I still have my 50 year old "Shrade Old Timer".
The lifetime warranty fixed it 3 times, but it's never far from my person.

That's a good looking knife and I want to thank you and all our other veterans for your service!

FYI, blades that size are amazing for skinning deer and pigs. Small blades don't need as much sharpening and their are way easier to control which increases speed and efficiency when skinning like 12 animals to break down and throw into coolers hahaha :D

Thank you for your service, Bear, and for sharing this.

My uncle was there too in USAF.

The traveling wall came to our town a couple years ago. It was my second time visiting it, last time was maybe 30 years ago in another town. Called my best friend, who brought his 3 boys and his father who served there as an Army officer. Nice to watch the 3 generations experience it.
