Nice, I hope you like it as much as I do!

Got it yesterday. I sealed up the packs of bacon that didn't get sealed. I really like this sealer. I love that it gives a two track seal. I got the 16" version and was able to seal two bags at once with ease. Thank you again for the suggestion. I hope to be using this sealer for years to come.

One tip for sealing up two bags at once... take a large kitchen towel and fold it multiple times so that the towel is as long as the seal bar, and 3-4" wide. Lay that in front of the seal bar and let the bags rest on the towel when sealing. It helps to keep the bags from sliding down and out of the sealer.

Great tip!

I have had mine for almost 7 years and still loving it.

After using my Cabella's Pro Series vacuum sealer for years, the bag seal heater went out. I don't think replacing the heater bar would be worth it so I am in the market for a new vacuum sealer. Not sure what I should get to replace it. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

That’s a bummer, those Cabela’s units usually last a long time. If you’re looking for a replacement, it might be worth checking out some chamber vacuum sealers if you do a lot of bulk processing, they're a bit more of an investment but definitely a game changer for liquids and heavy use.
