I smoked a flat that I had cut off a brisket a few months ago. The point was probably the best brisket to date. I tried duplicating the cook on the flat and it is tough. I am thinking about making chili with it. Can you grind cooked meat or how should I cut it up?

In my only brisket flat attempt to my name, mine was tough too. I did a cube/fine dice on the pieces and threw it in some broth with spices in the crock pot. Turned into some darn good tacos.

I assume something similar would work just fine with chili!

Slice the brisket to desired thickness, 1/2-3/4". Cut the slices into Sticks lengthwise. Cut the Sticks into Cubes. You are good to go. You can use as is, or add to a new batch made with Ground Meat. Cook until tender but not falling apart...JJ
