UDS help please

I making me a UDS and was wondering if it ok to use an elbow on the exhaust? All of the ones I see have a straight pipe. I've been thinking about using a 2" elbow so if I'm smoking and it starts to rain I wouldn't have to worry about the rain going inside the smoker.

I guess you could, never have had a problem with rain though.
I've seen several with elbows and they seem to work fine!

thanks bubba you know how it is here in mich. seems like every time I go camping I spend at least I day in the rain.

I use these 90°s on my UDSs. No reason you couldn't extend them if needed.
