cajun_1 that's an intersting thought. Although you wouldn't have a smoke ring, you might be able to add some smokey flavor to the bird. You might also be able to add some liquid smoke to the injection to put that imitation smoke flavor into the meat.
I'd be interested to know if anyone has tried putting the bird in the smoker after deep frying.
