I picked up a 60 gal air receiver and want to know if it is big enough to make a smoker out of.  I was wanting a reverse flow.  I want to mount it on a trailer and build a grill also.  It is 48" Tall and 20" in diameter.  I Think the firebox will be 16hx16wx22L, the chimney will be 3", and the air intakes will be 2x2(4 0f these).  What do you think?  I'm not into drawing or cad I just build.  Sorry if this is not enough info but I am new and not familiar with the site.

I think that would make a great reverse flow smoker. I have a grill that is 20" diameter and 42" long that I am thinking about converting after I finish building the one I am working on. I ran the numbers for it through a pit calculator the other day. I think the opening from the firebox to the cook chamber needed to be 5" tall on the end of the tank. If you put the cooking grate at the center it would work out good.

Thanks for the replies.  I need to get started rounding up some metal and a small trailer.  Waiting for the weather to break also.
