Trip Canceled

Had a 5am flight with Spirit this morning. I like flying them as I can get that front big seat for not much more than flying someone else. 10 minutes before boarding they delayed the flight 4.5 hours to 9:30. Last year flying back home flight got delayed like 5 times and I was not going through that again! I checked flightaware before leaving home and said plane was at DFW from the night before. Got pissed off and asked for refund. Card I used was the one I had fraud on but hopefully will credit replacement card. Will have to give it 7 days. Well this just sucks! Was looking forward to seeing my brother and his wife.

Sorry to hear. That happens quite often with smaller airlines as they don't have inventory for plane swaps if something comes up.

The last time our son came down to visit they flew Spirit. He said never again.

Well still no refund showing up. Thinking about calling them and see if they would rebooked next week for same price.

I've only flown a couple times . One of my goals in life is to never do it again .

I've flown all over the USA and Mexico, I can't stand flying.
Anything over 3 hrs drives me insane, and kills my back even in first class.
This yr my wife and I are finally planning on flying to visit family in Sicily, to make it more doable for me, we will fly to the East coast spend a few days than from their to Italy, and the same when we return home a month later.

Damn Brian that really stinks, I hate airlines these days, sorry bruth'a.
Go rent a sweet car that you've always wanted to drive, and make a road trip somewhere for a few nights to kill the pain, that's what we did back when our flight was canceled on 911. We rented and drove a Corvette south on the CA coastal highway, all the way to Mexico, we had a blast. Except for some of the SoCal traffic jams, around LA that we hit.

Sorry, but not surprised, about your experience with Spirit,but I doubt that you'll be getting a refund of what you paid for a couple reasons.
1. You cancelled the reservation therefore there was no fraud involved was involved.
2. I saw yesterday that Spirit, which is currently in bankruptcy status, will probably file for liquidation next week which means that you, and anyone else currently a Spirit reservation are SOL.

I got my money today. If over 4 hour delay suppose to offer refund.
