Trail embers 22"

So, 8ve been in search of a used WSM 22 for about a year...not that I wont apend the money on a new one, I was simply hoping to stumble into a deal...
WELL, in my hunt I ran across a trail embers 22 for 100 bucks...
I know that's what they retailed for on sale a few years back but went for a look see anyway...
What a great smoker...my second smoke is on now with a 17 lb packer and for three hours the temp hasn't t moved two degrees 234°-236°...couldn't be happier
AND...the factory doors sealed very well with minimal fussing... it has factory wheels which make moving it a breeze and it has factory lid hinges...
I know there are die hard WSM users who would never consider anything but...
HOWEVER, if you're on a budget and one of these shows up...BUY IT...you wont be disappointed.

So at a out 7.5 hours I had to make my first vent adjustment...the sun set, the outdoor temp dropped and I'm guessing that's why my cook chamber temp dropped since it was sitting right in the sun.

Looks like a great unit. I'd buy one if I was in the market.

So in summation...
The trail embers 22 inch smoker is a very fine smoker...
It held temps amazingly well (albeit the weather was mild and cooperative)
I held perfect temps in the 235° degree range for 16 hours on less than 20 pounds of KBB origional...
Minimal fussing once I got the vents dialed in.
I'll buy another if one shows up in good condition...for a WSM "knock off" it's a really nice unit.
