By noon today, had this to deal with. Figured better move some from round one. Suppose to get another 18" - 30" tonight and tomorrow . Very wet and heavy, can barely blow it. Farmers are going to have to wait until freeze up to get into the fields for harvest. I'm sure this will melt but I doubt it will dry. Gonna be tough hunting season with all the standing crops.:emoji_angry:

yeah, and I am also just finishing a house in NE, PA so better get a plow service for that one!

I have a skidloader I can bucket snow out of the way. But I will be buying more coal then normal I bet. BUT, its like normal winters when I was a kid. Snow in October. And had feet of snow every winter.

My "like" wasn't a really a like. It is a "I feel for you".
I hope you live a long ways west of me, as in Bismarck vicinity. I'm about 20 miles east of the border and just over an inch in the rain gauge last check, but no snow.
Put up the road marker sticks yesterday and got the snowblower staged in the garage. I live in town, but mark road so my buddy that operates the city grader knows where the curb is located in heavy snows.

I work for local grower (farmer) and this latest drenching adds to our already extremely wet conditions. Got more about 900 acres of sugar beets to get out of the ground and 1,000 acres of soybeans to harvest and the combined acreage for fall plowing. No fall fertilizer applied either.

Wife and I are going to Florida for 3 weeks in December. When she wants to go south this early it usually means the winter is going to suck.

Dumped 1.6" rain from the gauge this morning. Turned from rain to snow about 6- this morning.

This what I had by this afternoon driveway.jpg You can see my road markers on my side and across the street. My kids across the street (not my kin) and I keep the snowbanks blown off the curb so Dave (city operator) doesn't leave a huge pile across the driveways when he plows the street.

Started snowing again about 7- tonight
