I can’t count how many consecutive days with heat index above 100. I actually wouldn’t mind a real temp of 100 instead of low-mid 90’s and humidity that takes it to 105-110 and is stifling.
Too damn hot to tend a fire.
I’m gonna have to start ‘working’ 3rd shift and have ribs and wings for breakfast 😁

The humidity is brutal here . Keep those furnace filters changed out and hose off your condensing unit . Had my instant read therm on the table the other day . 101 in the shade .

That reminds me I need to clean the coil!

Worked midnights / 3rd shift on both active duty and after.... I used to get funny looks buying beer at 0630-0700 along with a steak or something else for the grill 🤣

Can't remember the last time we had heat indexes below 100. I was on the tractor the other day when the index was around 115 and it wasn't the cab tractor with ac. The last couple days we haven't had wind so time to spray weeds with Gly yeah that means not only is the heat index over 100 maybe 105-110 there is no wind to help at all. I'm on break right now about to head back out and spray some more so far I've sprayed around 200-250 gals and still not near done

Just be glad it's not the 30's and you lived in the dust bowl. No air conditioning and higher heat.

Yep, the heat is getting old in a hurry. It's always hot in Central TX this time of year but it's been even hotter this year and we're having much higher than normal humidity...and no rain at all. Took my remote therm down to the pool deck a couple days ago and turned it on. Left the cable dangling off the table so the probe would not pick up additional heat from the dark color of the table. Was 117 in the direct afternoon sun....and that's not factoring in the humidity. Heck, it's gotten to the point that even getting in the pool isn't much fun. Thank God for cold beer, ice, and margaritas :emoji_laughing: Gonna be grilling hot dogs this evening over the flame on the propane cook top in the kitchen :emoji_astonished:

I grew up in Florida. Working in restaurants none the less. We used to leave our meat thermometers out often on the line. Daily it would ready 125* in the kitchen. FN HOT!!!! Make up air only, which means hot air just gets recirculating, and no a/c. I've never in my life ever had a job in the a/c. Even the bodyshop I worked at was hot af! Especially painting in the booths (120*+). And I had to wear tyvec paint suits and a 3m respirator, which made it even hotter.

I'll gladly take snow vs heat anyday. You can always dress warmer, but society frowns on ppl running around in their birthday suits.

Its just the usual Oklahoma summer here.

Going into July, we had four straight months of below average temps and its looking like July will also be below average.

We just had our first 100 degree day yesterday. Forecast says more of the same into late next week.
