Just order a ThermoPro TP08 today. Is it a good wireless probe? I can still cancel the order and stick with my Maverick if not...

I use mine every week.. works good and batteries last ok.
I have left the wires out in rain a few times. No problem. The grate probe is always crusty but works great! Clean probes and they look nicer lol you may get some interference but just take a battery out of the receiver and stick it back in.. it will reset and work. If it beeps and it looses signal more than a couple times it may need fresh batteries

Yea, that was a concern. Being caught in rain. But it looks like it has a sturdy construction. I've went through so many wireless thermos it's ridiculous. My Maverick ET732 has been great so far. It feels like it need an otter box on it though.

I haven't cooked in rain much. Once I put the transmitter in a quart baggy. It has a hanger thing on it. Maybe hang it somewhere you could put something over it to keep dry. My smoker I can put the transmitter under it because the wires reach that far if it's sprinkling out.

August in SE Georgia. It's raining every day it seems like. And it comes in fast, so you have to be on your toes!
