Texas butchers Argyle area

Hello, I have a question for the Dallas Texas area smokers. My daughter lives in the Dallas area and she is looking to purchase a 1/2 cow. I live in NW Indiana and we get our cow directly from a farmer and then pay for the processing. She has looked around and is not able to find anything. I told her to visit a local butcher shop and ask the butcher if he has any suggestions, but she can not find a butcher shop. We have a butcher in every town here so i find it hard to believe that a state known for it's beef doesn't have butcher shops. Can anyone offer any suggestions? TIA — looking for recommendations.

I am in central Texas so can't be of much help. There is however a group in this forum (don't know how to find it) that is the Dallas area or NorTex. You might do a little search and see if you can find them. Some really good folks in there. You may also want to edit the title of your thread to indicate North Texas / Dallas area. Texas is a big place and dialing it in a bit tighter might help get your answers more readily.

Have they tried Cain's in Denton? Surely there's a meat processing plant, Meat Market, Butcher, or Slaughter House near Argyle?

I'm in Indiana also and know several people who split a half cow every year. Maybe she should look for someone who processes venison for hunters. Like you said, though, you usually deal with the farmer first.
