I have a old 2012 Bradley model BTIS1 smoker. I would like as much information as possible on doing this upgrade including how to wire in the components please. My little red light on the bottom is broken, would that cause the unit not to heat up? I tested the element and it is good compared to a new element. Or could it be the resister in the bottom of the smoker that is faulty? I’m not sure how to test the resister. I’m sure the best investment is to replace the Tempco element and put in a PDI controller if some of you fine gentlemen would assist me in doing the conversion. Email me pictures or information that is required for the project if you like and thank you!

Your problem is a poser. Not too many Bradley owners here; just a few. Hopefully someone will come along and give you some help.
