wuts up smf, i am still new to smoking and my smoker (master forge two door propane) I loaded up the wood box with chips and cubes and have had a nice smoke going for a couple of hours.  At one point the wood box started to flame out the sides just curios how bad is this or is it good does it change the flavor of the smoke am i doing something wrong, newbie needs help?

When you see fire shooting out of your smoker. That is not a good thing. Yes it will change the flavor. What ever is in the path of the fire will taste like charcoal. The smoker is getting to much air.

What are you trying to smoke Or are you just getting use to the smoker?

Happy smoking.

David
