T-Bones n’ fireflies

July 3rd. Storms cane through and nearly messed up dinner but we threw up the canopy and got it done. T-bones on sale, wifey poached some lobsta tails, grilled spuds. Fireflies, fireworks, and rain keeping me company.

Now that's a big steak; makes the tail look like a shrimp.
But why poach? Next time put it on the grill too. I love grilled lobster.
I think we have more fireflies than usual this year. Maybe all the rain.

Yeah, they were a nice size, The weather threw off the timeline, I was going to grill the lobster, my wife said let me just poach em - ok! 4-5oz tails, cold water get rm from local grocery store for $5 each. Hardly everyday fare but nice on occasion. I think we get the fireflies cuz no one in the neighborhood treats their lawns much with pesticides n such.

Great looking steak! Yeah Fireflies around aren't as populated as they were when I was a kid but I'm fortunate to have them here at my place. Those and Horny Toads have all but disappeared.

Thanks Chile! Ha, “T-bones n fireflies” just sounded like a better title . My wife goes for the tenderloin due to digestive issues. I clean mine whole both sides to the bone
