Hello All -
I introduced myself last December, but never had much luck with my Brinkmann Vertical Smoker. I recently upgraded to a CharGriller Super Pro with Side Fire Box. The first time I used it, things went pretty well. This was my second time, and I thought I'd take some pictures to post.
I made baby-back ribs and a beer can chicken. I rubbed the ribs with yellow mustard and some cajun rub. The chicken was rubbed with olive oil and the cajun rub with a jalapeno pepper stuffed in the neck. I used Royal Oak Lump, and hickory chunks along with some cherry and apple chips. I also added some baked beans into the smoker just to give them a try. I used the 2-2-1 method for the ribs.
I invited some family over. The meal turned out EXCELLENT!!! I can't believe how much smoke flavor was imparted into the beans. Every one raved how good the meal was. They said it was the first time they ever had ribs that didn't need sauce.
Anyhow, here are the pics...
