Stuffing funnels for Sportsman 11# and what benefits does an offset firebox give me?

I purchased a "used"11# Sportsman sausage stuffer.  Unfortunately, I didn't know that "used" meant that they didn't have the stuffing tubes.  I've been searching high and low for the plastic (stainless would be cool) tubes without success.  Any ideas where I can order some?

And on another note, I've seen some cool mods for a Brinkman offset firebox that can attach to my Smokey Mtn. vertical smoker, for example at Home Depot for  $90.00.  If I add this unit to the vertical smoker, what do I really gain?  It already has propane as a heat source, and I have a couple of a-maze-n-smoker dust units for smoke.... so I guess I'm wondering what I would gain?  I get the "nice option" to use charcoal or wood (and all of its theoretical   advantages).  Is that worth it?  I don't want to start a war or anything, so I'm not trying to say one is better that another, I'm just trying to justify $90 modification (that I really want to do)....

Thanks,

J-

Ok, thanks for the links.  I'll have to measure the base.  I took it to a local shop with everything under the sun for this sort of thing.  He must have had twenty different funnels, but none would fit.  It looks like an odd ball size.

also, interesting on the "buy meat instead".  I'm new to it and thought it might be a good way to cover all the bases, since I can't afford a giant smoker!.....  Thanks, J-

I have a Vertical propane smoker, probably similar to yours. I went ahead and made myself a UDS to set beside it. I built the drum for $100 and it was the best money i have ever spent. I hardly ever use the gasser anymore, mostly just for sausage.
