on June 3rd 2015 i bought a vivo sausage stuffer , today we were working on a batch of 50 lbs and i noticed the gears started feeling "bumpy " about 10 lbs into the batch . i told my wife that when we finished this batch i would take it apart and inspect it ...no such luck !!!
the gears failed leaving us with about 15 lbs of seasoned meat yet to be stuffed
the good news is i put it in the freezer to stuff another day
after taking it apart and inspecting the shot gears i suspect that the gears were never properly shimmed at the factory ( they always felt a bit loose ) on hind sight i should have paid more attention.

well i'm sure i'll have to buy a new one so i'm taking suggestions for a good 10 lb stuffer
looking for one thats made in the good old u.s a with a good warranty and has good customer service

The new Lem style works great so far for me,, bought both the 5lb and the 15lb,, enclosed gears - way smoother the the other style LEM I had.

i just got an E-Mail from them wanting to know the Model number of mine and they would "check " to see IF they had replacement gear i could buy. i am not going to fix it , i have already found a new one that i like at Waltons
