We aren't near done with cleaning up last weekends mess that tornados and straight line winds gave us, and they're firing up on the west side of N.Dak. again. Will be traveling right thru central ND into Minnesota again. We had clocked winds of 102 mph and calling for 80-90mph again with tennis ball size hail and tornadoes popping up. There is still literally 100's of uprooted trees all over the place. Some of the cemeteries lost many and toppled hundreds of headstones. Many just had power returned the other day. Storm chasers are already gathered in Bismarck.
I personally got very lucky with 1 downed tree, broken branches and limbs allover but some neighbors didn't fair so well. Snapped and up rooted trees. Have been helping others the best I can. ND Storm chasers can be viewed live on YouTube when they get going, get a little close to some of the tornadoes. Pretty scary . . .

You guys had some crazy toronados the other day. Stay safe sir. I know it's heading this way but it'll be pretty weak before it gets to me. If you need something let me know. I'm see what I can do.
EDIT: For everyone in the path of shut off these storms... STAY SMART STAY SAFE.

Thanks guys . . . couple of the tornadoes that touched down were only on the ground for a short time and mostly rural from what I've heard so far. Fierce winds came thru around 12:15 but they too were short lived.( don't know what they were clocked at here, storm chasers had them at 65mph out west ) Have a few broken branches.
Sure did put on a good light show for a good hr.

About 530am we got a little rain and some good lightning and thunder. Not enough to get me to close the windows though. Tonight might be a different story here.

With this humidity, never know when the darn things will fire up. Friend was going up to Casino by Devils Lake. They saw this one about 2 Pm by Carrington

Stay safe out there

Didn't have too much damage here Sunday morning but 15 miles northwest of us looked like this...

Sunday morning was rough here too. Just north of me towards Minneapolis got hit pretty good. Just to the west had two confirmed tornadoes on the ground. This area lucked out again, thankfully. Only a matter of time though.

Sorry just catching up as I started the post and fell asleep

My son lives in Bismarck and saw this Friday night.

We got some light rain by the time it crossed the Red River.

Last weekend I lost 2 big limbs off an Ash tree in the front yard. Lost the entire top off 1 of 3 Maple trees in the backyard. 5 pickup loads of branches and sticks to the dump. Didn't save any Ash, but any Maple over about 2" diameter went to the save pile for future smoking wood.

We got wacked pretty good on the June 20th storm, still cleaning up trees around the farm yard and will be for a while probably. Overall it could have been worse because we didn't have any building or vehicle damage (outside of a couple pines landing on an old truck of mine, minor damage). The messes around other parts of the farm are starting to show up better now that you can see leaves dieing on the downed branches/trees, woods in one of our pastures is a mess which now me and my friends will have a more than healthy supply of oak for the smokers. Got 2in rain during that 1.5hr storm, I live in sandy soil so I can take rain pretty good. Thankfully June 27th we only picked up .5in rain from a storm that came through that night and June 28th had another isolated storm heading straight at us with high winds, hail and heavy rain but luckily it dried up a little when it hit our farm dropping .5in rain in like 30min but 10-15min NE there was about 2in with a small spot that got 4in. Talking chances of storms again the 4th July weekend, hoping they are wrong as we need a little break.
