So we were going to season the drum tonight and our temp guage stopped working so that kinda sucks gotta pick up a new gauge. Got one question though. We started our coals in the webber starter and they started going like a champion. Dug a nice little hole in the charcoal in the basket and poured them in there. My question is do you throw the meat on right away after the temp gets good? Or do you wait for your coals to go to completely ashed over like if you were bbqing get the temp good and then put the meat on? Cuz with both caps open and ball valve open its taking forever for the coals to get ashed over. Thanks guys.
