Ziplock has had a similar product for a couple years. The bags are expensive, even compared to foodsaver bags. The bags ar cheaper than throwing food out though, that's for sure!
I have had 2 of the regular food saver units and they work really well -used them for a small catering business with great success-for $29 it comes with 15 ziplock bags which seems like a really good deal as they would be reusable compared to the regular bags which you have to cut the top off for each use - This might actually be a winner - Went to the website and they sell 14 bags for $7.99 so it is reasonable since they are reusable - Gonna sign up for one
Thanks for posting Ron
I've tried the ones from ziplock, and they work pretty well for the short term...maybe a week or so, but I would not trust them for long term in the freezer...they do tend to leak and take on a little air with time.
The brown truck is bringing one of these today. Our second foodsaver died and it looks like we would pay for a good one weather or not we actually got it, so....
I'm really curious to see if this works. If it does it would be a great addition to my storage needs. We smoke alot of meats just for sandwiches. The fact that could be reused would really make it a good deal. So BOGVIEW when you get yours please let us know how it works. I'm sure they are hoping that they work because there sound like thay could sell a handful of theses with one good review. Great post Ron Thanks
