Everybody knows the dangers of smoking cigarettes, and I don't want anybody to think that I'm trying to preach to them. I smoked for over 20 years myself. But a couple years ago I started looking for ways to stop smoking without ***** or patches. I knew "cold-turkey" was going to be next to impossible for me, so I began searching the net for other options.
What I found was a website that discussed the positive effects of quitting smoking.....not in a "preachy" way, but, in a well-written way that made you really think about smoking in a whole different light. Now, I'm not going to condone the method I used to stop smoking, but it worked for me. I basically used the info from the site....cut back on how many cigs I smoked per day, and began chewing tobacco to keep the cig cravings away. After I quit smoking, I continued to chew for a couple months so that the "habit" of smoking was more removed from my daily routine. Then one day, I just simply quit chewing, and have been nicotine free ever since.....cept on those nights that I find myself in a bar....then it's just second-hand smoke.
Anyway, there is a point to this thread....it is to give all you cigarette smokers the same tools I found online......and just maybe you too can re-learn just how good it feels to be smoke free......here's the link to the website that was so helpful to me.
