I bought my dream car on March 16th.
2009 Corvette Z06
34,955 miles (36,330 when I rolled into the driveway after a road trip from Portland)
Jet Stream Blue is the color
6 speed manual transmission
It has an LS7 7.0 Liter 427 cubic inch V-8
505 horsepower/460 ft. lbs of torque

The car is a BLAST to drive. What an incredibly engineered machine.

I am currently waiting on Stage 2 heads, Stage 2 cam and a ported MSD intake. The car should make about 575 rwhp Naturally Aspirated after the power modifications.

That’s a badass car. I kinda follow vettes. Way to go Hannah! Congratulations.

Thank you.

I have two Uncles to thank for liking Corvettes.

Sweet ride. You doing the mods yourself!
No, I'm having a shop install them. I'm dangerous enough as it is with changing a starter, alternator and battery. That's my limitations.

That is a beautiful ride. Enjoy buying new tires after burning rubber through at least two gears.... I miss having three pedals.
Thanks. A set of new tires for this car is $1700. I don't think there will be too much of that.

My best friend has your cars twin, I've driven it several times with him in the car and without him in the car. Driving it with him in the car was much funner, I never would've pushed someone else's car as hard as he made me push his. They are bad machines, that's for sure.
I liked it so much I was almost ready to buy a new 2025 ZR1 that was at our local dealership.
The dealbreaker for me was how much harder it was to get in and out of the ZR1 than it was getting in and out of my buddies Z06 which isn't easy for me, but doable.
And $40-50 Grand is way more doable than $178. :emoji_laughing:

Sweet ride Hannah, be safe in it, they are crazy fast!!!

Dan.

I like that body style a heck of a lot more than the square'ish, triangular look of the newer vette's. Nice looking vette.

Congrats on the 'vette! I have always loved Corvette since I was a little kid. My folks never saw a need for one, to my dismay, but having four boys at the time I can understand now. My dream Corvette would be a 1969 ZL1. I would have to drive it once then it would be under armed guard 24/7. Only 2 produced, some say 3, 427 all aluminum block, heads and intake, 4 speed Muncie. No heater, no radio, heavy duty brakes, suspension and steering. Rated at 430 but in reality well over 500. It was a street legal race car. The 2 that were bought went straight to the track. Today they are worth into the mid 7 figures. It would be an investment, though.

I would have to move if we got another vette. My wife had one that I got her for Christmas about 30 years ago. She couldn't drive it without a pillow behind her back as her legs were to short to reach the pedals. Not a fancy one as it was an '80 350 with the manual 4 speed. Fun as all get out to drive. Traded that on a '98 Camaro SS with the LS1. When we move to this house she didn't want the SS anymore as we live in the moutains off dirt roads. She said she would never, ever drive on dirt. Loved that SS, too.

I'm a big Vette fan, and that sure is a beauty. Unfortunately now that I can afford one. My age, height and weight prohibit me from making the purchase. At roughly 6'-6" 290lb and 66 years old. Getting in and out of a vette is nearly impossible.

My favorite is an earlier model, but it still holds true to its lineage. Gotta love the color.

That is a nice vette, I have had my 81 for 27 years and sadly only driven it 3700 miles in that time...like @gmc2003 just not great to drive.
