I hate to ask this (not really), but I'm just getting started with smoking food in my NEW smoker! I need a list of FAVORITE recipes. Who out there can help me out?

It would help if you explained what you're looking to smoke; what type of smoker you're using; etc.Jeff, the owner of this site has a 5 day course on smoking--you should sign up for it.And, you may want to just use the search bar to view some recipes. On this site, there are thousands. But it all starts with what you want to do and what yoyu're looking for. To get the basics of smoking, you may want to try chicken. They're easy to do and cheap (price wise).

Howdy!  Noticed that this is your 1st post here on SMF.  There are tons of recipes for just about anything you could ever want here.  Just use the search tool and ask away.

Would you mind stopping by Roll Call and introducing yourself.  We can give you a proper welcome too!

Hi, MWS!

The search bar at the top of the page can be a big assist in looking for a specific kind of recipe.  For all recipes in general, this'll get you started:

Plus, we have an entire subforum section that is dedicated to recipes:

And, the members here are always real good about helping each other out, so if you can't find what you're looking for, just ask and someone will always be able to help.

I have found many great ones right here. I use a onenote template and drop my favs in there so I can find them quickly... I find new ones almost every day on here.

Thanks all, for giving me some direction.  I'm excited to not only use my new smoker, but also to communicate with folks like you. I'll start perusing the website first, then bounce "tactics" off of my new smoking friends.

For a quick "Step by Step" on numerous smoked items, just go to the bottom signature of any of my 12,000+ posts. Then just click on anything that interests you.
