Last week I cut down a couple of silver maples. I added the wood to the pile and plan on trying it in the smoker.
After I got done cutting it up into logs I have a pretty good pile of shavings and sawdust and it got me thinking.
Can I use it for smoking cheese? Last year I cut up some oak and hickory and have used the sawdust and shavings from that and it worked out.
