In appearance, I didn't see a lot of difference between the Smokin tex and the Cookshack smokers.  I know Cookshack rides heavy on their reputation and price reflects that.  Anyone have any experience with Smokin Tex units?

Aside from country of origin, most CS models are digital and that is expensive.  Check out their replacement parts prices.  But they are great smokers.  As for the ST line, they are analog, utterly reliable from the postings here and on the ST site, and are fully insulated and stainless steel in and out just like the CS.  I guess it comes down to budget.  And the 3d smoker of similar appearance is the Smokin-it line, also talked about here and the SI site and also well liked and reliable.

Use the search feature at the top and check out the ST line as well as the others.
