Could anyone tell me about how much it should cost to ship a 600 lb smoker 750 miles?  I was given a price of $550 and this seems high to me but I don't know for sure.  Any opinions?

Only a freight company can give you an accurate quote.
A wild-assed guess isn't going to help you a bit.

By today's standards it isn't out of line; crazy yes, but with today's inflation, fuel costs and economy it is not surprising.

Last January I ordered a 350 pound smoker on a pallet from Kansas City, MO shipped to northern North Dakota and the retailer split the shipping costs with me. Maybe the seller will share in some of the shipping cost?

Seems a bit steep, but your best bet is to contact some local trucking or shipping companies and get a quote. With diesel cost and trucking being at a premium right now, the price might be fair. It might be worth it to figure your costs to go and pick up the smoker yourself (hotel stay, fuel, time, etc.).

$550?

Depends on a lot of things.

What is the origin zip?

What is the destination zip?

What are the L x W x H dimensions?

What is the weight?

Is it on a pallet?

Is it loose?

Is it going dock to dock or ground level to ground level?

Can you load it in the back of a trailer that is 48" to 60"H off the ground?  (lift gates are more costly)

Are you shipping from a business to a business? (cheapest)

Or, are you shipping it Bus to Residence or Res to Res?

Do you have a pic?

If you can answer these questions, I'll tell you the best and cheapest way to ship it, no matter how or where it is going.

Thank you!

I'm not a spammer.  I found this question and only hope to help you!
