Snow and cold temps headed our way so I thought I would spend the day making chili. The recipe I have uses sirloin steak as well as hamburger. Great recipe for you meaty chili lovers like me, but I'm trying something a little different today. Usually I just brown the sirloin in a pan before adding it to the other ingredients. Today I am going to try to add some smoke to the sirloin. Not sure if I will notice a difference once I get all the other flavore in the chili but what the heck. Can't hurt anything! Here are two 1lb sirloins. Going to go indirect heat with some hickory smoke. Never smoked a steak before so not sure how long I'm gonna go. Probably just keep an eye on it.
