I use this for pork and beef ribs.  Occasionally Ill use it for steaks

2 parts garlic, 2 parts paprika, 1 part sea salt, 1 part brown cane sugar (not the stuff colored with molasses).

sometimes Ill cut out the sugar for beef (especially beef ribs), and sometimes will add 1 part pepper for the beef (black or cayenne)

Ive been using this for a few years now and havent gotten sick of it yet!

Thanks - I just go with powdered.  Ive done granulated and it has worked well (especially when using a decent amount of sugar in sweeter pork recipes), but Ive tried to keep it as simple as possible.

For garlic lovers the granulated is good to mix in, but the bigger pieces can be off-putting to those that aren't so into garlic.

btw this is my favorite type of sugar to use:

the bulk is good but they sell it in packets as well (convenient and lasts longer without the sugar clumping like it does after sitting in a large container) - 2 packets will do a rack of ribs.

That is an awesome idea for sugar! I would think it would be perfect. I
ended up with a box of the packets from work when a coffee shop moved into our shopping center. No one makes coffee in the office anymore.
