I bought a Packer cut Brisket from Sam's about 13lbs.  I have an electric brinkman (Red) smoker each rack will hold 20lbs. I'm pretty sure the Brisket as it stands is to big to fit on the rack.  Should I cut it and if so what is the best way to do his,  Wish I had a bigger smoker.  Any help on this matter would be highly appreciated.

Thanks!

P.S. my first Brisket.

I have to seperate the flat and the point when I do them . If you haven't "played " with one before I'd search youtube for videos to get a good idea where to cut . You didn't ask anything about removing some of the fat from the top of it , but I'll say I've done them removing all but maybe a 1/4" of fat and just leaving all the fat on them and removing it after it's cooked and I like my results better leaving all the fat on them . They take longer to cook but I like the way they turn out better . Some other members will be along with answers shortly . I don't do very many of them but I'm pretty sure some people will agree with me.
