New member here after a long time of reading for advice. Wanting to sell my current smoker and do a UDS build!

I have a Masterbuilt 7-in-1 smoker that is used that I am looking to sell. Not asking a ton for it, just a little cash to help fund my UDS build.

Curious to hear if y'all think I should clean it well before selling to maximize its value?

Like I said, it's used (just did a 10 lb brisket yesterday), so it is definitely seasoned. I don't want to ruin the seasoning, I've rinsed it out and wiped it down, but not sure if I should get some grill cleaner and get after it a little more.

Thoughts and comments much appreciated.

Welcome to SMF!

I would make sure the grates, water pan, chip tray etc. are clean.

As far as the body of the smoker goes, just wire brush it so that any loose stuff comes off.

Then just sweep it up with a shop vac.

I'm with Al, I bought a used kettle and it was pretty nasty but it was what I wanted I just offered less money because of the condition it was in.

I'm not sure I'd try to scrub it spotless...
I kind of like the idea of it already being pre-seasoned...
Like Al said, clean grates, clean water pan and no loose crud or old ash.

Sold a WSM earlier this year, cleaned up the outside and the grates, the water pan was never used so I didn't need to clean it but would have if it needed it. Left the seasoning on the inside of the smoker and explained to the prospective buyer why I left it, WSM's cook more consistently well seasoned.
