Do you have examples of the rotisserie? I would like to see it in action in a uds. I'm not quite sure and cant really picture how it would work. Just to verify rotisserie is where you skewer the chicken say in a rod and slowly spin it correct?

Also quick question about those muffins. Did you just swivel the domed area a bit off center and the smoke/indirect heat collected in the dome like an oven?  By the way those muffins look amazing. Even more appetizing than some of the bbq ive seen around here haha.

Sure I'll find you some roti pics.   Most cooks you won't need to swivel the dome but on the muffins I just wanted to keep a steady 400* and when something is too hot or not enough you just move the swivel grate accordingly.

Ahh I see. Its just I didn't see that slot in the first series of pics so I couldn't piece it together.

Yes I figured later that lowering or highering the grate with the heat source could help in controlling temps. Pretty neat set-up you have :) Cool to see your originality and most of all functionality.

That 007 is a cool looking cooker. It has a lot of really awesome features. Great job.

Appreciate it Joe, cooking on makes as good of food as it's fun to use.

A little update, Got a custom side table shelf made for the 007.   Did it for two reasons...1 is I wanted a side table of course and secondly I wanted more stability in case I wanted to swivel the grate out 180* with weight on it so it wouldn't tip.    Very very happy with the project.

That looks awesome Keith. Bet that improves the cooker alot.

Huuuuge improvement Adam, I suppose I've taken the benefits of an attached side table for granted whether it's keeping the cook "lubricated"  having a place for a drink or just a handy place to put utensils, plates or pans etc...

You're a mighty fine fabricator yourself, can't wait to see your version for your 007.

Detail of the brackets

And Fwismoker's version 2 "007"

There are probably lots of ways to make one but this is what we wound up with. The actual grate of course is a Weber 22.5 grate (not shown in the CAD rendering) that sits in the swing grate frame. That frame is made of two pieces of 1"X1/8" flat bar; one rolled to the ID of the G=Weber Grate (give yourself a 1/4"-3/8" of extra diameter) and the other rolled on edge to the same diameter then welded together to make a "T" to support the cooking grate.

For the detail of the bracket, you might need a spacer as shown if your drum has a top lip and/or structural ribs; a 1/2 cinch is shown but you just need to size it the get clearance on the shaft.
