Searching for used pitmaster iq110 and thermapen!

Guys I couldn't post this in classified section for some reason but just thought I'd throw this out here ... I'm in the market for a temp controller for my UDS .. mainly to smoke food for me when I'm at work . Also wanting a thermapen ... if any of you guys are looking to maybe upgrade and want to give me a good deal on your old one send me a pm ! Thanks

I've been out of the loop for awhile now so can't say for sure but, in the past, Thermoworks use to offer remanufactured thermapens at a discounted price.

Yeah I called them and they don't have any at the moment.. thinking about getting the thermopop I just seen they made it faster !! 3 to 4 second readings ... not bad !!

Couple of years ago I purchased some Thermapens for family members as gifts. One of them I gave to my elderly mother mainly for her own safety. I'm willing to bet she hasn't seen that thing in a long time and possibly haven't used it but maybe once or twice. With that said, if I were to ask her if she's using it she would probably say yes, not wanting to hurt my little feelings, lol. So, I'm considering your request but, in this case, I wouldn't hold my breath.

When I purchased my Thermapen I don't think the Thermopop was on the market.

I just looked and seen they now have a MK4 Thermapen for $99 with advanced features, whatever those are. (2-3 second reading)

The now "Classic" Thermapen is $79 (2-3 second reading)

The Thermopop is $29 (3-4 second reading)

It kind of reminds me of the Snap On vs the other brand argument.

I haven't looked at details but it sounds like the Thermopop will get the job done.
