So I've spent the last few weeks getting familiar my new smoker. I've been working through the staples, ribs, chicken, pork shoulder etc. Sunday, I decided to push it hard. Three meats including brisket, beans, and grilling shrimp and hot dogs all on the same fire. Well, the outcome was excellent and I had to face a difficult conclusion......
It was time to part with my WSM. So sad, this thing has been with me for about 5 yrs. Through ice storms, tornadoes and 110* days, it has smoked along perfectly. Together, we've tackled brisket, pork shoulder, ribs and whole chickens. And more exotic endeavors , such as lamb, jerk chicken, stuffed pork loin and more. It has never let me down and I am thoroughly impressed with the smokey mountain product line and Weber products in general. However, with this new smoker, I just don't see myself using it anymore. So yesterday, I gave it to a friend of mine. I'm happy to know that it's going to go to a good home and I hope he gets as much enjoyment out of it as I did. I'll be telling him about this forum for sure.
