do you use this method and does it keep spices fresher? non-caking?
I just found out myself that the lids and threads on the lid and jar match up myself and thought I would share; I would think you would want to put Saran wrap between the lid and jar for storage and giving the container a tighter seal. Then storing the container in the fridge like you would an open container of Parmesan cheese. Besides cooling, refrigerator's also take moisture out of the fridge with a dehumidifying system.
 
I use the Kirkland spice jars for larger storage - saran the top and into the pantry
