Here comes the next storm. Should be named Gustavo today.
I have never seen a tropical depression with an open eye before. That is scary!

The forecast track.

Might have a fun start to next week.

Sept is the peak of hurricane season. Looks like the month and storm may arrive together.

We are planning to spend a week in Destin the second week of September. Why did we pick the peak of hurricane season???

Will be thinking of ya all... Fl and the eastern south,Hunker down and try to stay high and dry...if possible.

Winds are over 60 now. Getting close to hurricane strength! Feels like charlie

I got my supplies left over from Fay. Got my Mom stocked up with stuff too. This one looks it may be a tad more powerful than Fay ... hope FL is safe and it skirts out to the Atlantic.

We might need to take this one a little more serious. It looks like it will have a chance to strengthen and may become a major hurricane. Might have to be a little more serious about this one.

"THE LATEST FORECAST TRACK INDICATES
MORE TIME OVER WATER THAN THE PREVIOUS ADVISORY AND SO THE
INTENSITY FORECAST HAS BEEN INCREASED TO REFLECT THAT. BOTH THE
GFDL AND THE HWRF SHOW GUSTAV AVOIDING NEARLY ALL OF CUBA AND HAVE
GUSTAV AS A MAJOR HURRICANE IN FIVE DAYS."

didnt mean for that to sound like my vacation is more important than your guys saftey, really I can re-schedule a vacation hope you guys stay safe.

No problem. We all have our concerns. I think your vacation maybe safe if you are there for this weekend.

supposed to come in on Sunday and stay till the following Monday. I can deal with a change but would have a hard time telling a 3 and a half year old that she is not going to be having breakfast with Cinderella.

That would be hard. I doubt we will be effected by this storm until mid week at the soonest. I have a feeling that its going to head further west and not mess with Florida. That remains to be seen though.

The 5 day forecasts have the storm far to the south on sunday and moving wnw. You will have a few days of good weather at the least. To be safe can you have that breakfast early in the week? Just in case you are forced to leave early?

scheduled for Tuesday breakfast in the castle, that is the most important thing of the whole week so I'm told. From what I have heard Disney World is a pretty safe place to be if a hurricane does hit.

I doubt the storm will be here by then. Just keep monitoring it. Orlando isn't a bad spot to be in a storm but I would try to avoid it.

Reminds me of when Charlie was approaching years ago. All reports said it was going to hit my home town. Friends of mine were scared and went to Orlando to stay till the storm was gone. Charlie turned early and completely missed me here and went right through Orlando. My friends were safe but they ended up spending an extra day there.

I guess thats why I don't evacuate. Run from the storm and it will just chase ya down.
