I've built a rf charcoal smoker and I'm seeking input on whether a rotisserie would be beneficial. My wife and I love chicken my smoker lays out well to accept one. I don't have a ton of experience ion smoking chicken and I see the rotisseries in SAMs club and the chicken is pretty good.
IMG [B]top rack would be removed when in use and the rod would run horizontal thru the CC. I would basically put ports on the sides and the motor would remain outside the CC When not in use the ports would be capped ... Is it to much work for not much gain

If the rotisserie would be over direct heat I could see a benefit. If it is indirect like most smokers, I don't think it would do anything.
