I borrowed a friends 5x8 trailer and hauled the smoker over the area where my wifes family was gathered for a get together.

threw on 9 St Louis Cut spareribs done up Rookie style, rubbed with Lang Red Rub

Someone wanted to throw some raw shrimp on, so I placed them in half pans and added garlic and butter

Hard to tell but there is some chicken in a basket cooking below the ribs. The basket sure makes it nice to cook chicken. easy to slide it out and sauce the chicken the slide it back in. These are at about the 4 hr mark. I no longer wrap ribs.

some of the finished product. The people seemed to like them. I didn't get any photos of the chicken or shrimp unfortunately. Cooking away from the house was a learning experience. I brought a table, towels, Clorox wipes, but I sure could have used a sink. Overall it was a success.

Nice cook, the ribs look delicious!
Bet the family was fat and happy after that feed.
Also, gotta luv the Lang.
Like!
I gotta ask, "What is Rookie Style?"
Thanks
I didn't take the membrane off. I don't usually do it anymore.

Nice feast.

Not sure exactly what you needed a sink for but these work well set on a table with a catch bucket on the ground.

that would work. A large basin to set pans and cutting boards in to clean up with soap. Will have it next time

That looks like a great time last . Nice smoker . I have a water container like above , hard plastic . Use it at deer camp .

I enjoyed cooking. They asked if I would cook next year so they must of liked it. I didn't see anyone toss any ribs.

Great looking ribs.
I'm curious though. You pic shows the rear firebox pinwheel mostly open but it doesn't show the front pinwheel.
What size Lang is it and what temps did you run with?

I have the Lang 60 deluxe patio model with wagon wheel cart and firebox damper to warmer and one to close off main chamber from firebox to cook in warmer box only
I had both front pin wheels closed. the one you see is open and the opposing side is open half way. Used Oak and it stayed pretty solid at these temps for 5 hours. 250 on front guage and the back was a bit over 280

Ribs look mighty good Flat, and if they asked for an encore next year then I'd say they were satisfied.

Point for sure.

Thanks. Looks like we have the same Lang except mine is the trailer model. Same warmer upgrades with the flues to shut off or open the warmer box. You must be using much smaller splits than I do on my 60D.
I have to close the front like you but my rear pinwheels can't be much more that an inch or so to keep the cook chamber at about 300.
