I have a ys 640...bought it in Jaunuay at the kcbs banquet. Works great still learning where to place the damper for the best results. It does seem to work better with the damper pushed in about 4 inches.
good deal...way to go.My grill is a Yoder 640, purchased December 2012. Gave away my offset and have never looked back!
GMG Jim Bowie here. Had it since the first of the year and only 1 cook on it so far.
I got Two trawger Texas grills. I rarely get them above 250 for anything other then pizza. Working on the wife letting me buy two more grills. Looking at the Louisiana Pellet Grill Super Hog. Also working on having a Vertial RF Backwoods Clone made using pellets. Other thenthat I am having a customer built RF Stick burner for larger catering events. But that is a whole other story.
Welcome to the new Group, guys! I'd love to hear your thoughts on different brands of cooking pellets in the other the other thread. Thanks for the invite Red. I have a two week old Yoder YS 640 with the second shelf and grill grates. I am experiencing a few issues but Yoder customer service is working with me to get things ironed out. This grill will be great!
Only one cook...I cooked on mine 4 times in the first week, i think...better get her out and get it greasyGMG Jim Bowie here. Had it since the first of the year and only 1 cook on it so far.
Nice Old dog...love the smell of a Yoder in the morning...New Yoder YS480 arrived today!
Can't wait to fire it up. But first we have to figure out how to move it from the pallet, through the house and onto the patio. Then wash all of the grates and oil them up.
Regards,
Ed
