Those are delicious also!Lamb fries! lol!
Never heard of this. And. I'm quite pleased with myself that I haven't!There is a small town near me in Ohio that has a chicken testicle festival every year in early May. It’s at the Tiro Tavern. Have never been and likely never will but this thread reminded me of it. Fried testicles are free. https://ohiofestivals.net/web-stories/tiro-tavern-testicle-festival/ Click your way through an overview
I went into a dive bar in Montana, and they had bull fries, lamb fries and turkey fies on the appetizer menu, and a whole row of gallon jars with pickled sausages and pickled eggs that were $1 per item. They also had chislic, a regional bar food that is cubes of marinated lamb that is deep fried, and served with saltine crackers and a garlic seasoning. And to go one step further, your first drink at happy hour was a two-fer. On Fridays and Saturdays they cashed payroll checks, but kept the cents. HOWEVER..., you (and your wife or girlfriend) got a free drink for cashing your check. There is a small town near me in Ohio that has a chicken testicle festival every year in early May. Interesting food history. From Germany. We just called it fried lamb or venison, but this has history.I went into a dive bar in Montana, and they had bull fries, lamb fries and turkey fies on the appetizer menu, and a whole row of gallon jars with pickled sausages and pickled eggs that were $1 per item. I've had it in beef, chicken and venison. OK it is supposed to be lamb or venison (wild lamb). Cousin lightly coats venison chunks in dry Shore Lunch Cajun seasoning. Yes Shore Lunch is for fish, but it was delicious on the venison. Much better than plain.Watched this due to my buddyBrokenhandle pointing out chislic! Never had heard of it, but sounds delicious!
Not the first thing I've seen in a bar I wouldn't put my mouth to.Real popular bar food around here...
